Chanel is generally known as the resident Martha Stewart among her friends. Not only is she a mother to a very independent little girl but a professional interior designer holding a B.F.A in Interior Design.
Her career touts over a decade of designing and project managing; From campus facilities for the City University of New York to creative and funky corporate spaces for Viacom/MTV Networks entities. In addition, she’s worked numerous years at a large corporate manufacturer alongside architects and installers alike.
Outside of interiors, Chanel’s love of design transcends into every facet of her life. When not at work you can find her either crafting, baking, cooking, sewing or just absorbing any information that can make her family and friends lives easier (and of course beautiful.)
Chanel’s professional and personal motto’s in life is to “go with that feeling most people ignore.” This motto is exactly what helped bring birth to Ly + ME Designs llc.
While Chanel never foresaw practicing in residential design she quickly realized after purchasing and gut renovating her Brooklyn townhouse that her resume of designing and project managing multi-million workplace renovations could help propel her own destiny of entrepreneurship...So while Chanel’s mind said, “maybe”… her heart felt it was just right!

my design philosophy
As anyone knows interior design is constantly evolving, moving, and adapting to the times. Althought this is one
of the things I love most design, I think it’s to set and follow a few principles – that’s how people get to know and
recognize you as a designer. There are several principles I have adhered to guide my carer and continue to come
back to every project to guide my work process consistently.

Rethinking and reinventing spaces we inhabit is one of the most challenging goals of our generation.

There are ever changing spaces, meant to be lived in, loved and used, and as such, they need to be functional, whilst still being beautiful!
my Approach
A lot of people may not fully comprehend how important an interior designer is in building better functioning and cohesive spaces. Approaching space as a human centric experience is what I do.
